Ladder

The way between planes. Space digs down with it — a shovel through bare dirt, a pickaxe through stone or a cave's floor — or up; where the tool could go either way, hold E to dig down or Q to dig up. A ladder goes into the shaft, and R climbs it. Set against a cliff, it climbs one plane up.
